Yoga Under the Sky
July 19th, 20th, 21st
with Michelle Frankel
Ages 5-9
10:00am - 1:00pm
Lagoon Park
160 Armory Dr

This yoga experience will take children through a combination of traditional yoga poses (asanas) and stretches, creative movement, and breathing techniques (pranayama), tying in a daily theme through storytelling, songs, and games. The practice will build strength and invite playfulness, keeping children excited and inspired. Each day will include an art project that will become an active prop for our yoga sequence. We will journey through imaginative meditations, offering relaxation techniques and an opportunity for children to connect with their inner world.
Combined with free movement and nature exploration, this experience will expose children to mindful movement while enhancing their self-confidence and motivating them to keep moving and discovering.

Children in this group will explore how music can be a useful tool for regulating emotions and our bodies. With singalongs and activities to learn about rhythm and body percussion, participants will gain an understanding of the different ways music can enrich our lives. In addition to interacting with music in a variety of ways, children will also have the opportunity to create their own instruments that they can use to make music of their own.
